During the whole month of September internet users around the world participated with Wiki Loves Monuments, world’s largest photography competition with a tolal of 370,000 uploads. This year Aruba participated for the first time with a total of 258 uploaded pictures. The competition was organized by Stichting Monumentenfonds Aruba. The local jury consiting of Daphne Every, Alice van Romondt, Anne Witsenburg, Ryan Oduber and Rob Vermeer had the difficult task of choosing the winners for both participating categories and nominate 10 pictures to participate in the international competition.

On November 29 the winners of Wiki Loves Monuments Aruba 2013 were announced at the Wiki Loves Monuments Award Ceremony at the National Archaeological Museum Aruba.
