Second Treasurer
This is a volunteer position appointed by the board of Monumentsfund Aruba (SMFA). The second treasurer is expected to attend the board meetings monthly and maintain contact with the board and the director of the foundation mainly via email. Documents for decision-making will be prepared by the organization and presented to the board. Additionally, the second treasurer is expected to attend several public events organized by the foundation, depending on the progress of various projects. The second treasurer is also legally authorized to make payments in the absence of the treasurer. A monthly expense allowance of AWG 400 is available for this position.
- Available for an average of 4 hours per week
- Knowledge of or interest in cultural heritage
- Minimum educational level: HBO (Higher Professional Education)
- Knowledge of finance/accounting is required; legal or architectural knowledge is a plus
- According to the statutes, “Members of the board cannot be those who are employed or will be employed, or who are board members or commissioners of organizations or institutions—whether legal entities or not, and whether of a public nature or not—that are involved in monument restoration.”
- Knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch, and English
