Chairman

This position is a volunteer position appointed by the Minister of Culture. It is expected that the chairman can attend and lead the monthly board meeting and that he maintains contact with the board and the director of the foundation in the meantime, mostly by e-mail. Documents for decision-making are prepared by the organization and submitted to the board. In addition, the chairman is expected at various public events of the foundation, depending on the progress of various projects. A monthly expense allowance of Afl 400 is available for the position.

• Available for an average of 4 hours per week
• Knowledge of or interest in cultural heritage
• Education level at least HBO
• Background in legal affairs and/or construction is an advantage
• In accordance with the articles of association “Members of the board may not be those who are employed or enter into employment or who are board members or supervisory directors at one of the organizations or institutions – whether or not legal entities and whether or not of an official nature – that are employed in the context of monument restoration.”
• Knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch and English
